The week at a glance
What changed
ZOYA breaks into the top 10
ZOYA — “Hold The Horizon” climbed from No. 42 to No. 10 in the weekly chart, with 222 plays against 155. The turn came back on October 10. That day Europa Plus Top 40 started playing the song nine or ten times a day, after not playing it at all. Through this whole week it aired between 29 and 36 times daily. DFM contributed the most, 73 plays, and Europa Plus Top 40 added another 67.
Europa Plus New adds LYRIQ and OneRepublic
On that same Saturday Europa Plus New put two songs into rotation at once, playing each 13 times a day. LYRIQ — “Без тебя” rose from No. 69 to No. 18, with 200 plays against 127. Europa Plus Fresh was already playing it 13 to 14 times a day; the second station nearly doubled the count. OneRepublic — “Pay That Toll” entered the chart for the first time, straight in at No. 34. It logged 162 plays, up from 85 the week before. Hit FM plays it too, about four times a day.
Warriner loses ground where our source loses airplay
Warriner & LORYN — “Let Me Forget You” slipped from No. 2 to No. 6, with 249 plays against 322. On Europa Plus Top 40 and Europa Plus New the count barely moved: 70 and 67, compared with 70 and 72. The loss came on DFM and Hit FM. There the song suddenly aired three to four times less often, all from one day, October 13. That is the same day our data source stopped passing us part of those stations' songs. FAST BOY — “Music Sounds” shows the same shape: down from No. 5 to No. 24, −111 plays, 78 of them on DFM and Hit FM. Our data cannot tell whether the stations really played these songs less.
UGLI lands on Europa Plus Fresh
Outside the Top 100, the weekly Radar picks out UGLI — “Посмотри на меня”: 24 plays against 5. Until now only Novoe Radio played it. Now Europa Plus Fresh has picked it up, six times on October 17 and seven on the 18th. That is only two days, too early to call it steady rotation.
What happened to last week's forecasts
We checked the three questions from the previous issue.
- ✓ confirmed — Баста & Моя Мишель — “Если я буду танцевать”: No. 1 with 347 plays against a threshold of 330. Its lead over No. 2, “Sad Girls” by Bebe Rexha & David Guetta, grew from 33 to 38.
- ✓ confirmed — Carlita & SOFI TUKKER — “Manhattan”: No. 14 with 213 plays against a threshold of 210.
- ? unclear for now — “Let Me Forget You”: 249 plays, below the weakening threshold of 270. The drop sits on stations with data loss, though; elsewhere it logged 207 against 216.
- ? unclear for now — Michael Jackson on Radio 7 Vintage: from October 9 to 15 almost every logged play on the station was one of his songs, and since October 16 there is no data for it. This looks like a metadata fault rather than a themed week.
What to check next week
- Will “Hold The Horizon” stay in the top 10?
- Will “Без тебя” make the top 15?
- Will “Если я буду танцевать” keep No. 1?
Daily data and sources
Method and comparison limits
The week logged 444,176 plays, 63,454 a day on average; the week before had 544,204. Do not read this gap as less music on air. Since October 13 our data source has been sending part of the songs without an identifier, and those never reach the airplay history. The loss is uneven: 18 of 181 stations lost more than 40% of their records, 116 lost between 10% and 40%, and 47, including every Europa Plus station, changed by less than 10%. DFM lost about a quarter of its records and Hit FM about 18%. October 12 was still complete. Weekly totals therefore cannot be compared directly with earlier weeks, and a song's decline on the affected stations may come from the loss.
Positions and weekly plays come from the official chart, built from the same data: all seven days, at least 182 sources against a minimum of 165. Three station-days were excluded because Radio 7 Vintage has no data from October 16 to 18. Daily and per-station figures come from daily analytics. Different tracks is a daily average (31,448).
Radar compares the same set of 182 stations in both weeks. It matches recordings by artist and title, with medium reliability: different versions may be counted separately.
Plays show what stations aired. They cannot tell how many people were listening. The daily mood profile is no longer published because it barely changed from day to day. From October 19 five more stations join the network statistics, growing the network from 183 to 188 stations.
Next-week verification thresholds
- “Hold The Horizon”: confirmed at a top-10 position and at least 210 plays; weakened below 180.
- “Без тебя”: confirmed at a top-15 position and at least 200 plays; weakened below 170.
- “Если я буду танцевать”: confirmed at No. 1 and at least 330 plays; weakened below 300.
- Five new stations join the network from October 19, so plays are compared on the same 183 stations as this week.
