The Week In Two Words
The week of 24–30 August reads best as a reshuffle at the top of airplay inside a very steady listening scale. MintBear counted 498523 plays, only 638 more than the 17–23 August weekly review. With a daily average of 71218 plays, that is too small to carry the story by itself. The stronger point is which songs took attention inside that stable flow.
Last week’s review asked whether Meet Me In The Dark could keep the lead, whether Take Me There would stay in the Top 10, and whether the newer Top 20 candidates would prove their jumps. The answer is specific. Meet Me In The Dark stayed #1 but eased from 377 to 360 spins. Bizarre stayed #2 and barely moved, 361 → 357. The important action came below them: Если я буду танцевать made the week’s main move, #13 → #3 and 212 → 315, while Take Me There reached #4.
What Happened Most Often
What happened most often was not just another dance-led frame; it was new pressure inside that frame. Meet Me In The Dark and Bizarre kept the first two positions, but neither grew. That made the top of the week less like a two-song duel and more like a wider contest led by Если я буду танцевать, Take Me There and IOWA - МЫ.
The genre frame explains why that jump did not change the whole atmosphere. Driving collected 315689 plays, work 77758, and study 57304. Dance led with 217428 plays, followed by electronic with 191381 and pop with 138815. Russian music and retro stayed close at 100059 and 97641. The structure was almost the same as last week, but Russian-language titles carried more weight inside the Top 10.

The five cards above now work as navigation as well as ranking evidence. None of the featured tracks was a one-day spike: Meet Me In The Dark ran 53, 55, 53, 55, 48, 46, 50 by day; Bizarre ran 50, 51, 51, 54, 50, 52, 49. Если я буду танцевать strengthened into the weekend: 40, 42, 39, 41, 45, 53, 55. That looks less like an isolated jump and more like a move from candidate status into the rotation centre.
How The Mood Changed
Mood Map is best kept brief this week: there was no meaningful emotional turn. Energy stayed inside 61.6–61.8%, romance inside 19.9–20.1%, and relax inside 7.8–7.9%. Even 29 August, the most distinct day, only moved to 61.6% energy and 20.1% romance.
That means the rise of dance-leaning tracks should not be described as causing a mood change. More likely, Если я буду танцевать and Take Me There grew inside a profile that was already energetic. DFM stations supported the energy layer, while Radio 7 Vintage, Russian Radio Kids Channel and Monte Carlo segments kept the calmer and more romantic side visible.
That is why mood works here as chart context. It shows that the rise of Если я буду танцевать and Take Me There was visible in rotation, but not large enough to change the whole emotional profile of the week.
What Repeated Day After Day
The strongest repetition was the daily corridor. The low point was 71161 plays on 27 August; the high point was 71315 on 30 August. A spread of 154 plays is tiny for this archive, and the week was even tighter than the previous one. Unique tracks moved from 36032 to 36177, with a local lift to 36175 on 28 August. That is not a dramatic expansion, but it kept the catalogue from becoming narrower.
The genre centre repeated as well. Dance and electronic were first every day, while pop, Russian music, retro and rock formed the supporting lines. Nostalgic music collected 90880 plays without becoming the main theme. Relax and focus kept a quieter background, but they did not change the weekly tone. This probably helped the top tracks hold their daily totals while the long tail stayed present.
Station coverage repeated too. All seven days had 167 covered stations and 98% catalogue coverage. Russian Radio Kids Channel, DFM Pioneer, DFM Party, DFM Gangsta Deep and Radio 7 Vintage were among the most active station sources by plays. These are not one flavour of radio, which explains why the week felt energetic but not narrow.
Main Turning Points Of The Week
- 24 August opened above the previous weekly average, and IOWA - МЫ immediately moved from 36 to 44 daily appearances.
- 26 August lifted unique tracks to 36102 while plays softened, so variety recovered before volume did.
- 28 August widened the catalogue to 36175 unique tracks without moving Mood Map, keeping the change rotational.
- 29 August took Если я буду танцевать to 53 daily appearances and confirmed the run toward #3.
- 30 August closed with the weekly high of 71315 plays and a stable mood profile.
These points matter as editorial accents: Monday showed the plateau did not slip, the middle of the week added a little catalogue breadth, and the weekend proved that the week’s main new title had daily support. Total volume barely moved, but the top of airplay changed enough to set up next week’s question.
What This Week May Mean For Next Week
- Check whether Если я буду танцевать can hold Top 3 after moving #13 → #3 and 212 → 315 spins.
- Watch Take Me There: after #8 → #4 and 227 → 288, the next test is staying in the Top 5.
- See whether IOWA - МЫ becomes a regular Top 5 candidate after climbing #15 → #6 and 207 → 265.
The next question is no longer whether MintBear has a stable plateau. Two weekly reviews now show it clearly, and this week was tighter than the last. The real question is who benefits from that stability. Meet Me In The Dark and Bizarre are still very strong, but neither is growing. Если я буду танцевать, Take Me There and IOWA - МЫ have the visible momentum. The next week may show whether this is a new upper-chart shape or simply a strong end to August.
